Ar SCCNS, the comfort and care of our patients is the most important. We look forward to helping you feel better. 

Once the need for surgery has been confirmed, the surgery team will give you a surgery date. Your Instructional Appointment will be with Michelle Lancaster, PA-C, or Victoria Callahan, PA-C. 

If you should have any questions or concerns regarding your surgery, please do not hesitate to contact the office and ask to speak with one of the surgery coordinators.

Patient's Pre-Op Checklist

Certified Physician’s Assistant Victoria Callahan shares helpful Pre-Op Info

  • Please complete any requested Medical Clearances.
  • An authorization request with your insurance company will be requested (you will be contacted if there are any issues with approval).
  • Call your Primary Care Physician and schedule an appointment for a History & Physical and Pre-op.
  • Pre-Operative Instructions will be faxed to your PCP’s office.
  • Blood-thinning medications should be stopped 7-10 days before surgery. 

Instructional Appointment

  • Pre-operative testing review
  • Surgery consent signed
  • Before and after surgery care instructions are given
  • If you are receiving an outpatient procedure, medication will be prescribed
