Gamma Knife Radiosurgery is among those that we offer and is one of the most advanced means available for the non-surgical treatment of brain tumors and other disorders such as Trigeminal neuralgia. Despite the name, Gamma Knife doesn’t use a blade or a knife and there is no incision or blood. Instead it uses radiation that doctors are able to focus directly and precisely on the target in the brain without affecting surrounding healthy tissue. Because the Gamma Knife is so accurate, the full dose of radiation can be delivered in one session. We are proud to be the preferred provider of this technology in the Inland Empire and offer this treatment at the Southern California Regional Gamma Center in Upland, California.
In addition, SCCNS surgeons played a major role in pioneering and perfecting the minimally invasive endoscopic approach for pituitary tumors, skull base tumors and brain tumors.
