About SCCNS

The Center’s expert team of neurosurgeons possesses a diverse range of academic experience and training in minimally invasive techniques for spinal and cranial surgery. SCCNS’ surgeons perform some of the most complex operations for the treatment of skull base, peripheral nerve and movement disorders on the West Coast. To keep pace with the ever-evolving field of neurosurgery and spine, SCCNS’ surgeons are principal investigators in the latest clinical research studies involving minimally invasive surgical procedures and devices. In addition, they serve as thought leaders for the development of endoscopic and minimally invasive techniques for spinal, cranial and epilepsy surgery that are dramatically reducing operative times and enhancing outcomes.

SCCNS also boasts a multidisciplinary approach that provides patients with non-surgical treatment options. With its comprehensive pain management and physical therapy programs, the SCCNS offers novel solutions to back and neck problems, complex pain syndromes, and impaired mobility. In specific cases involving failed back syndrome and post-surgery syndrome, the Center’s team educates patients about the clinically proven techniques that dramatically improve quality of life, minimize the use of narcotics, and restore independence.

AT SCCNS we are committed to providing quality healthcare to our community in a caring, compassionate and dignified manner while maintaining the highest ethical standards.

“By combining compassion and innovation, we are enhancing surgical outcomes and significantly improving the quality of life for our patients.”

Technology Driven

At SCCNS we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of cutting-edge technology that will help us provide our patients with the most minimally invasive treatments available.

Gamma Knife Radiosurgery is among those that we offer and is one of the most advanced means available for the non-surgical treatment of brain tumors and other disorders such as Trigeminal neuralgia. Despite the name, Gamma Knife doesn’t use a blade or a knife and there is no incision or blood. Instead it uses radiation that doctors are able to focus directly and precisely on the target in the brain without affecting surrounding healthy tissue. Because the Gamma Knife is so accurate, the full dose of radiation can be delivered in one session. We are proud to be the preferred provider of this technology in the Inland Empire and offer this treatment at the Southern California Regional Gamma Center in Upland, California.

In addition, SCCNS surgeons played a major role in pioneering and perfecting the minimally invasive endoscopic approach for pituitary tumors, skull base tumors and brain tumors. This innovative technique results in faster recovery times, fewer complications and decrease in pain normally associated with traditional brain surgery. This as well as innovative minimally invasive spine surgery has helped set our centers apart as one of the most recognized and renowned neurosurgical centers in the United States.

At SCCNS, we strive to stay at the cutting edge of technology in order to offer our patients the most innovative and effective treatments available.
